Business Meetings

So I started going to this business mastermind meeting with the idea of getting some help to grow the quilting business so it can fully support me. Tonight was the second meeting and I have homework.

But let me go back to the first meeting. My take away from that was to Dr use if I want thus business to succeed or not, set a goal, make a plan, and keep your mind open to ways to set it all in action. We were asked to get and read The E Myth by Michael Gerber.

I got it on audible and listened to it…initially I wasne that impressed…but I think I will listen again and see if I can pull out some nuggets I can use. After that first meeting I did somethings to work ON the business and not just IN it. I got a separate checking account and have been going through my old receipts to make a comprehensive list of quilting customers.

Ok back to this week. My homework is to come up with my “why”. The underlying reason for what I do. To write out my goals for the business and myself in it. To come up with and write out if need be, my USP, unique selling propositon, what sets me apart from every other quilter and why they should come to me.

On top of this…or because the business is all in mg head, I also want to implement a referral appreciation program for customers and quilt shops and find out what it takes to be a vendor at a charity run to solicit t-shirt quilts.

Even now as I write this, I think of the different kid sports organizations that I may be able to talk to and get my cards out there also. If I want the business to grow…which I am pretty sure I do, I need to get more customers and more business.
